He got the "bug" in high school and continued on from there. He attended Ohio University for Theater and then moved on to CSU in Cleveland Ohio to earn a BA in dramatic art. He trained with J.J. Garry, Jr., artistic director of the Playhouse Square Association as well as Richard Oberlin, then Director of the Cleveland Playhouse.
