Monika Järv was born on December 12, 1968. She graduated from Põlva High School and in 1992 from the school music department of the Tallinn Conservatory. Worked as a French teacher at Tallinn Pedagogical University, coordinating the referral of students to French higher education institutions. Currently works as a translator in Brussels.
