Jon Sorensen was born and raised in rural Scotland. He had two parents. His grandmother and the cinema. He was sponsored in the film industry by such luminary Directors of Photography as Peter Suschitzky, Alex Thomson, Alan Hume, and Oscar-winning Visual Effects Supervisor 'Brian Johnson'.
